Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you’re getting fat, and maybe it’s been raining too long. You’re just sad, that’s all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you’re afraid, and you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?

He picked a telephone out of the air and held it to his ear. “She says, this is Holly, I say honey, you sound far away, she says I’m in New York, I say what the hell are you doing in New York when it’s Sunday and you got the test tomorrow? Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote which is seamlessly, beautifully written, full of apartment life & cocktails & relatively harmless scandal, and makes a whole lot more sense than the fillum (though I concede I have only seen it once and it was a while ago – will have to watch it again before travelling).
